On our podcast last week, my homie Frank Bodani suggested 11 Penn State players could be taken in next year’s NFL draft. That would break the program record, 10 in 1996, for the seven-round-draft era.
It’s not at all a reach. I scribbled down some names while we were recording the pod and came up with 10 in maybe 30 seconds.
Now that I’ve thought about it, the 2026 class will break the program record, and might obliterate it.
The current roster includes about 30 players who will be draft-eligible at the end of next season. They include Drew Allar, Nick Singleton, Dani Dennis-Sutton, AJ Harris, Kaytron Allen, and Zane Durant, six guys who are almost certain to turn pro in a year and once they do, will get picked.
